One Night Stand

Climb the 1st 5 bolts of "The Power of One," then head left and finish on "State of Grace." Link-up.

A proud line that tests one's power endurance and composure. Currently, the hardest route in the Santa Monicas.

After climbing Choptop, milk the good rest before firing into the steepest part of the White Wall. The route is often considered a powerful v9 boulder into another v9 without rest. Big moves to gain the third permadraw are followed by a crux lockoff over the bulge to a two finger pocket. Keep it together for the next couple moves before clipping the last perma and finishing on easier climbing.

Originally graded 14a in the guidebook, but crucial holds have broken since publication. 14b is consensus among those who have sent post-breaks.

Fun link-up. Climb the Stand to its sixth bolt then tread left into Power of One (One Night Stand). Climb two draws to the flat match rest hold on Power then bust a boulder left into the finish of State of Grace. Clip one bolt of State of Grace.

Boulders separated by good rests. May be soft for the grade, I'm not sure.

The extension of Chop Top that goes up and left to the arete eventually finishing on the Java Wall Face. No more hard moves, just a little more endurance needed to finish.

An excellent power endurance route that starts off the ledge on the left side off the White Wall. This one builds on you and the last move may prove to be the crux. From the ledge start up the steep wall making long moves right away up passing good sized holds for the most part to a sloping hueco, then more long moves to a final big toss off some crimps to the finishing flat jug.

Climbs up the right arete. Sequential moves lead to a tricky crux and easier climbing on the final headwall. Stay on the arete.

The Stain climbs the left most of the two black water streaks. Start up the steep and powerful bottom bulge to brilliant 5.11 climbing above.

The steep line up the center of the face. A true stamina route as most of the holds are larger than those usually found on a route of this grade. The rating may be a little soft.

The right waterstreak, on the right side of the wall. Either stick clip the 1st bolt or stem up to clip it. The back wall is off route if you desire full value for the 5.11b rating.

Start on The Stand and after clipping its 6th bolt climb left around the arete to finish on The Power of One. A link up.
