We tried to keep this route as "trad" as possible and at the time the boys were inspired by the film

"Hard Grit"

, but we weren't quite willing to go that far with our style of ascent.  The bolts are spaced, but if I remember correctly, Chris Parker blew the second clip and still didn't hit the ground, so I guess it doesn't get an "R" rating.  Anyway, the climbing if fun, the rock quality is great. It's a spicy, tricky lead though, so you may want to check it out on toprope first (which is easily accomplished).

There's nothing bad about this climb. It's the obvious north-facing crack that fires up the rhodenite wall. Awesome.

Start off the ground with some powerful cruxy moves on well protected climbing. The climb is fairly sustained thereafter, but with good rests, on nice horizontal holds.

This route follows high quality, natural line trending slightly left. This is a great climb for those wanting to push their skills to the next level.

The route was established during a guide's course and named after a Jeeping accident caused by spontaneous rock fall near the Skylight ice climbing area.

Needful Things follows four left-angling bolts between

. At the fourth bolt, trend up and left into

. The upper section is protected by some tricky wires and small to medium cams.

Kids in the Candy Store shares the same start as

Instant Crusher

. Clip the first bolt, then angle right to two more bolts. The route stays left of the crack system. Climb the face left of the crack. The holds are mainly posiitive, although they are tricky to find.

This is a super amazing contribution to a classic Ouray crag! It was first done by local strongman, Jason Nelson. Follow an incipient seam, protected by small gear, to two bolts (the crux) followed by a few more gear placements.
