This is a great beginner's route.  Though it only has one bolt for protection, the difficulty eases as you approach the summit.

What an all star first ascent team!  Al Steck partnered with John Salathe on the first ascent of the North Face of Sentinel Rock in Yosemite, the now uber-classic Steck-Salathe. Joe Fitschen was on the second ascent of the Nose of El Capitan with Royal Robbins, Chuck Pratt and Tom Frost.  Steve Roper wrote the Yosemite guidebook for many years. Andy Lichtman was on the team which made the FFA of the Salathe Route on Half Dome.  If these studs had fun climbing a 5.2, you should be able to as well!

Rock Steady

This is the best route on the spire and used to be protected by three Lost Arrow pitons which were undoubtedly scavenged by dirt bag climbers. You can solo this, or better yet, setup a toprope from the anchors on top.

Rock Steady climbs a small, right-facing dihedral for about 30 feet before exiting left onto the face and to the top.

Not a reason to head up to this pinnacle, but if you already have a toprope setup for the classic Rock Steady, you might as well give this rig a try.  The climbing eases as you get higher up the wall, but unlike the other routes on this spire the rock quality is a bit suspect.
