(AHVI Arete) This is the one that drew us in. Mega fun, instant exposure, arête climbing, jug haul, double crux, very well protected, happy good fun times to chains on top of the Cobra.

This is the original line of ascent to the top of the Cobra. As the name implies, some tip-toeing is required, but really this just isn't recommended.

This is a very fun route with some face climbing and some great crack climbing. Getting into the crack is tough but the crux may lie above on the bolted stretch to the chains.

The name is a play on Brian Cabe's 'Lake Effect' at Cliff Lake and a nod to all the Uinta route developers that came before.

A fun foray into chimneying with some hand-sized opening moves and an entry-dance to get into the crack. An irresistible feature and a commanding position that's not to be missed.

Stem up on jugs to first bolt. Scramble up through ledgey terrain to a big double roof. Pull mini roof ,stay strong, then pull larger roof( 10.b) onto easier terrain(5.8). Good rock good fun.

AKA: Right Arm. Awesome route yet a little different than the usual Uinta jug haul. You will find lots of side pull action some slopers and a couple jugs of course. It climbs right up the steep wavy bulgey orange face right of Blake Effect.

Climb the first pitch of Caging the Cobra and right into AHVI Arete in one long pitch(drop your pack off on the Chip and Dale ledge as you go by)then bring your follower up for some coffee. Use some long runners to reduce rope drag.

Pitch 1 is easy ledgey terrain gradually steepening, big holds all the way lead to the somewhat heady 5.7 crux right at the top before stepping onto the Chip and Dale ledge.

Pitch 2 starts in the mini dihedral just up and left of the fixed anchors on the ledge and  is fun climbing on great rock. The pitch starts steep and passes a cool horn feature(bomber)up the lower angle face(great rock) under the enormous roof then crosses left over a wide crack then up to the top of the formation. Pulling onto the top is probably the 5.8 crux.

This route climbs the obvious wideness left of Caging the Cobra and then joins the original CTC route, to the top of the formation. It was led with gear up to #5 but could probably be done with smaller gear.

This climbs the left facing dihedral right of the orange wall. During the FA, a light breeze was blowing straight up the corner and every time I put my hand in the crack, flakes of lichen the size of Komodo Dragon scales were liberated and then elevated by the breeze. The flakes of lichen swirled around my head and thoughts of Indonesia swirled around inside. The route has cleaned up a bit and the rock is excellent.
