Start on the left slope and the right hand crimp on a tender flake right in the middle of the west face. Move upward and try avoiding the huge jug in the middle of the face. I don't know that it changes the grade, it just makes it a bit more interesting.

Starch the New Year

Start in the same area as

Blue Like Jazz

, and head up and right. Top out on the obvious point of the west face. Staying low will make the problem a bit more difficult while going to the huge rail will obviously make it easier.

Sit start with a good right hand and sloping left hand. Move up using crimpy side pulls and delicate feet. Move to the top of the feature and then top out.

Start low on the far right side of the west face and head up and left using good slopers and crimps. Top out on slopers and bumps at the apex.

Start on the far right (south) side of the west face. From there, traverse the obvious rail, and top out on the apex of the face. This is a great problem on a good boulder, and it's super close to the road.

Start low on two crimps on the right side of the west face. Move up to a good easy sloper (it's a big move however) and top out on the slopers and bumps.

Starch the New Year climbs a decent section of overhanging rock. It has enjoyable movement that requires thoughtful hand and foot placement.

Sit start matched on a layback jug. From there, gain a right hand sidepull, walk your feet over to a heel hook, gain an incut left hand, follow to a right hand edge next to it, stick a big right hand crossover edge, gain the left hand jug, use the bumps to gain position, and mantel atop the boulder.
