Named for a wild scout in Dales quorum in the 80s who he found up on the schoolroom cliffs one day with a buddy but no real gear.  Consistently alternates between fun big moves to sequences which require more balance.  Sustained climbing to the top. Impeccable rock quality like the rest of Ice Wall. The route originally went left to share an anchor with Chicken Chipolte, which makes a better lead, but it looks like someone came in and threw in some chains directly above the route so TR is an option. A must do if you spend any time at the crag!

The first move is the technical crux, but it is pretty consistent climbing to the anchor and has a bit of sting in the tail. Combine the edges and jugs on the vertical face.

Spaced out feet make the lower boulder problem all the more interesting. Balancy moves put you on top of a ledge. Easier ground takes you to the chains.

This is the bolted route to the right of the arete on the lower wall. There is a low crux with easier climbing above. If you have information about the name or FA I will gladly update the page.

This is the route in Rob's guide that is described as having "a horrendous boulder problem finish." Its inconsistent in that there is easy 5.9 climbing till the final 5 feet. Then the top requires careful movement over a small roof. Going right has more options, but it'll be easier for most to move left at the crux. Either way, good luck getting a hand free to clip the one-bolt-anchor.

Boulder problem off the deck with some fun and reachy jug climbing to the chains. The first bolt has been taken down. Probably best to protect the opening moves with a stick clip.

A short steep hard route that starts right from the hiking trail. Don't be fooled by the name! A stick clip is recommended for the first bolt.

Starts off with some really cool underclings and some pretty physical moves up to a mantel.  After the mantel its pretty easy until the upper flake which is a really cool feature.

Easy balance climbing gets you to some really fun moves that are just past vertical. When you hit the ledge/last bolt, the route is pretty much over.

It is pretty consistently difficult route for the rating.  It has two cool mantles and at the top some amazing thin face climbing on small edges.  Pretty fun and a good warm up.
