This problem is great! One of the best hard problems at Groom Creek, and the slopers are unique for the area. Sit start beneath a bulge with a juggy slot in it, with left hand on small low crimp and right on a side pull. Make campusy moves into a side pull then throw out right to a sticky sloper. Make a big move to the slot then thug your way through the top out! Super fun!

This problem has frustrated hundreds if not thousands of would-be ascensions over the years.  It is the obvious attraction near a clearing southish from Bolt Rock and near the 307 trail.  Steep overhang about head height with an obvious left leaning crack cutting through it.  Grab the crack and yard up to crimpers, then either pop your foot up and mantle to finish or do a long hard pull.  Either way it will take you about 200 tries before you finally get it. 

  Sit down start has gone and is likely V8 or V9.

A unique, tall arête with a large hollow flake in the middle. Unfortunate landing.

Inside the actual "alley" on the right side of the south wall. Good, hard, crimping.

Traverse the arete up and left to a fantastic jug at the top. The crux is getting enough body extension to grab the jug.

Tall block just right of Risky Business. Hug the rock moving up on side pull crimps and reach for top edge.

The Golf Ball is an excellent, unique problem on a seemingly featureless blunt arête. Start by crimping crystals and tiny seams on either side of the arete with severe body tension and all around compression skills. When you get within range deadpoint for the "Golf Ball" hold, a little nob up and left of the arête that looks like a fat peanut. Throw your heels into the mix and hopefully you top out, avoiding the unnerving tumble back to earth. One of the harder compression problems around.

Alley Rocks is a split cluster of big boulders just south of Layback Rock.
