Figure out how to get off the ground and reach a jug. A couple more unprotected moves to a red dike and you’ll reach the crack and gear. Follow it to the top.

This is a fun top rope wall that offers featured slab climbing with multiple moderate variations.

There was a pre-existing, easily accessible, 2 bolt anchor at the top.

Begin in the dihedral of

Maker's Mark

, then as the angle eases off, make a spicy traverse left on the face until you reach a handcrack.

Climb the dike, starting out on big holds that lead to the crux.

Whiskey Wanderer is a very well-bolted and safe sport climb. Climb up on some mildly crumbly rock with some interesting moves. This will clean up with more ascents.

This ascends a gently overhanging handcrack with some thin hands thrown in.

Rappel or lower off the bolts for the ??.

Good ol' Maker's... this route ascends a sweet dihedral with a crux in the first 10 or so feet.

Multiple cruxes including balancy, crimpy, mantels and steep jugs make this a fun and varied pitch.

This climbs a really sweet rail to nowhere. There is a low start that hasn't been done and will be around V10?

Climb up a shallow, right-facing corner to a short crack. Good holds lead to two back-to-back mantels, and slab to the anchor.

Climb the steep, black corner. This has been attempted but will require some more cleaning. Once it’s cleaned up, this should be a classic stem/layback pitch. It is still awaiting a free lead.

Climb a positive layback to a tricky traverse before heading straight up on harder climbing. This has been attempted but may require some cleaning down low.

Start outside of the cave doing a difficult boulder problem that isn’t over until you clip the second bolt from jugs. Shake out, and climb the sequential face and very shallow, right-facing corner. At the last bolt, either finish straight up on thin edges (technical and hard) or do a powerful move out right to a flake and up to a good hold to clip the anchors.

Levitate up any holds that work best for you and then climb up an easier right-facing corner.

If you are short, getting off the ground might be the crux. Start by grabbing a jug and figuring out how to get your feet on it. Follow the steep water groove to an overlap and easy slab to the top. This shares the same anchor as "

Whiskey for Men

".

Stem off a boulder, and layback and undercling the corner. A bouldery crux at the end leads to a thin slab.

This was named in honor of our friend Bob Dergay who passed away May 2019.

A hard start leads to easy terrain and a steeper headwall where you will encounter the crux.

This is a really fun arete problem! The topout is kinda spooky and can hurt if you fall badly.

The crux is right off the ground getting to the first bolt. Stem and smear up a water groove. The top of the slab becomes very easy. This was bolted ground up.

Climb an easy finger crack to the first bolt. Stand on an expanding flake, and make crux moves to some protruding features and easier slab to the anchor.

This beautiful little slab starts by "walking the plank" on a log that allows access. Climb up 3 bolts via nice crystals to a cool summit ledge.

One could also do a bouldery start to the slab not adding much to the grade. This was bolted ground up.

Balance up some steep climbing that leads to an overlap (2 or 3” cam), and follow the slab straight up.

Weird things happen out in the South Platte....

This is a nice, flaring, handcrack boulder problem!

A difficult start and compression moves lead up the seam to good face holds.

A thin less-than-fingertips start leads to some finger locks and gradually widens to the top. The rock on this one is less than ideal, but it will clean up with more ascents and some lovin'.

This climbs a right-angling finger crack traverse. Start up a water streak into a dirty crack. Once you are past the flake, the protection and climbing gets significantly better. It is fun to lead and shitty to clean. Would get more stars if it weren't for the first 15 feet.

This thing is pretty sweet and packs a punch! Climb up the chimney clipping bolts as it pinches down into an offwidth crux.

This route can be done via the chimney (5.6) or starting in the obvious, left-angling crack to the right (5.8). Unless you are extremely thin, you will probably not fit through the hole at the top of the chimney. There is also a direct variation climbing out the A frame formed by the chimney (5.10-).

Stem up a short gully to a ledge and slab your way to the top.

Irish Cream is an excellent beginner trad route. It begins with easy climbing wide at the start then hands to thin hands.

There is a two bolt anchor rap from the top. It is not a good route to TR. There are nice views on top.

Climb a left-angling crack, negotiate a sloping bulge, and follow a slab straight up.

Clip the first bolt off the top of a pointed boulder, make a committing step across utilizing a sloping hold out

left

and an awkward mantel, and

follow

the beautiful slab to the top. This was led/bolted ground up.

Begin with a stand up move off a horizontal, and crimp along a dike eventually encountering a mantel. Follow an easier slab to the top.

Jam and undercling the overlap to a difficult move getting on the steep face above.

The whiskey version of an urban legend....

It is maybe one of the best crack boulder problems in North America and certainly the best I know of in Colorado! This goes through every size you can think of from offwidth down to tips. Start all the way back in the cave, and invert into the offwidth from the ground. Work your way out by doing some surprisingly difficult inverted shuffling, doing a pivot, then gaining powerful fists through the first roof, then move on to hands/thin hands through the second roof gaining the vertical finger crack, and top out on a solid jug on the right, avoiding the kitty litter. It is sustained all the way.
