This route will test your crack climbing skills, it has no mercy, there is no time for rest.  It might be short, but let me tell you I was knackered after the first 10 feet.  It's slightly overhanging and off width, so watch out for the barndoor.  Hint rap down and clean the route before climbing, it can be a little dirty and web infested.

The Blade

Stiletto

Crack and face to overhang on the left side of the Blade wall. 

  Start in the crack with the pine tree growing out of it.  It's easier to pass the tree to the left.  Continue straight up.

Face and Crack between routes 4 and 5 (as noted in Swartling's guide). 

  An attractive, nice line that does not appear in Swartling's guide. They were done in the spirit of "fair play" and were duly documented.

This route starts on small ledges and cracks.the first moves are tricky,as they require some time to work out.continue up to niche,then follow crack to the top.

The right hand corner of the Blade wall. 

  Step onto the corner from the block on the N side of the arete.  Make of couple of moves up to a fixed pin (needs to be replaced).  Move left onto face and continue up to the large horizontal break.  Either move right and grab the arete, or follow the shallow crack in the face to the top. 

  There is a fair amount of gear, but it is mostly small gear in shallow placements.  There is just enough good gear to make this pitch worth leading.

Climbs the face moves between Dear Abbey to the left and The Blade proper to the right.   Joins the variation left crack of The Blade route as described in 3rd Edition of Swartling/Mayer.   The crux is at the 10 foot mark.  Very thin pulls with sketchy feet to better holds above.

The Blade, although dirty, has a few interesting climbs.  The south wall has a short crack climb that will test your 5.7 skills.  The north wall is about 50 feet with 3 fine climbs, should not be overlooked, is very shady, and is close to Cleo's for those crowded days.
