This is a fun root with a nice overhang leading into a crack.

It does look like some older holds may have flaked off, but this route still goes. Getting up the slab gets you to the crux. Getting over the overhung crux into the crimp pockets is another story. It took me 3 sessions and some help from my friends. It won't feel like its great until you get it.

Start 15-20 ft left of the Big Crack and climb up easily to the left side of the 6ft-high vertical slabthat is a bit below mid-height.  Climb the left side of the slab to cracks which are followed up and back right .

This is a good warm up or second outoor route.

Climb up to the giant flake on the far right (east) side of the rock. Keep going of course!

Walking off the right side of the rock's probably the best bet.

This is a good warm up or first outdoor route.

Straight up the center of the rock formation is about a 5.7. If you start to go towards the left of right, becomes an easy 5.6. If you're up for more of a challenge, you can try going up the right to the ridge to the right of the face (not in the guidebook) -- approximately 5.10a/b. :)

A nice face climb right of the obvious large crack in the East-Facing face* of the formation.

Climb the Arete between the east and the north faces.

East face of the Northern formation, climb the obvious, large, 6-8-inch crack to the top.
