True to it's name

The Landlord

covers a large swath of real estate and if you want to reach the anchors you'll need to dig deep and pay up front with technical slab skills.

Start near the left side of the south face and wander up and right along the steep slab using smears, edges, loose plates and the odd patch of good rock.

Despite the number of bolts on this route it's no sport climb and has a bit of an adventurous feel to it. 80' rap down to the base.

Make a hard move past the first bolt and continue up a long easy runout to the third bolt. Climb up to a steep headwall, clip the fourth bolt, and make a tricky step around to the right (5.8 R). Carefully climb up and left to the fifth bolt; a fall before clipping this bolt would be very serious.

Continue to the anchor and lower (100') to the ground with a 60m rope.

This is a fun route to do before or after Walk on the Wild Side.

Climb an right-slanting crack up and right to access a left-leaning crack with a detached pillar and then head left on scabby face to join

The Landlord

for it's last four bolts.
