Start of the face, and plug gear into horizontal cracks and broken features.  The climb is lower angle, but will keep the beginner trad climber on guard.  Crux is down low.

Start under small roof 30 feet above: climb easy cracks until you get to the crux handcrack roof, then easy moves to the pine.  Rappel Pine.  (From Isolation Canyon Climbing Guide by Manuel Rangel - #58 in book)

Climb the crack, using mostly horizontal gear placements to a dihedral. Stem and climb the dihedral to the cold shuts on the ledge. Crux is dealing with pine tree branches at the start of the route.

Cold shuts on ledge three feet back from edge of wall to get to start. Up dihedral and traverse left to roof and two bolts above. Cold Shuts (From Isolation Canyon Climbing Guide by Manuel Rangel - #51 pg 36)   This has the same start as No Motion but then goes left at the roof to the obvious bolts above.  Follow the two bolts on the face straight up to the cold shuts on the ledge above (set about three feet back)

Crux for us was getting off the ground and deciding which side of the mini tree to go on. Continue past a baby roof and onto lower angle dihedral/face climbing. 

Very fun route. Stay left of bolts for fun moves. Easy climbing right of bolts.

Getting off the ground to a slot was the crux. The rock leans to the left, has great friction and requires committment to start.  It takes a great medium nut then good pro for the rest.

Scramble small ledge and climb arête with good holds.

Head up the right of two vertical cracks. Climbs horizontals to cracks then over small roof.
