Start on a side pull and a high crimp, get a high foot and fire up to another crimp then bump your right hand in to a sloped edge, then make a big cross with your right hand to the jug. Top out on jugs. Using the tree at the top gives it v8- but if you don't use the tree solid v8. Crux is the start two moves.

Up and to the right of the Weekday Warrior boulder is a low wide boulder... sit start on the far right and traverse to the left as far as you can and top it out... 

  I had to dig this one out of a lot of moss and lichen thinking it was gonna be rad and it only ended up being ok... Thats what inspired the name cause i though it was a waste to kill all those plants... 

  so climb it and it wont be wasted...

When I first found The Dugout this is the line that popped out at me... Well, kinda... Actually the part that looked so good was the sit start under a 45 degree wall that led to an intersting top out about 10 feet up... This problem as it is, is just the stand start leading to the top out which on its own is the best problem here... 

  I really hope the sit start goes (it looks about V7-ish), but the rock quality on the first half is kinda junky and so far many holds have broken... I plan to try again at some point but till then here is the problem's stand start... 

  Stand to the right of the steep wall with one hand on the nice granite out right and one on the crappy rock on the left... Get your feet on and slap your right up to some ok holds... Big move left gets you to a rad solid crimp right above the 45 wall... From here I kept going up and left to the sloping top and slapped my left hand up to the top over my head then manteled... Fun times and the rock is solid and sweet unlike much of the Dugout...

On the boulder to the far left you will see a big broken overhang... Sit down and left at a nice big jug and climmb straight up to a pull over the small roof and mantel to the top...

The best line on this boulder... 

  Sit to the right of Weekday Warrior in the middle of the boulder at a perfect start hold... Climb jugs straight up and top out the roof to mantel using a horizontal crack... 

The nicest route here to date... Required no cleaning and just begged to be climbed... Also the tallest problem with a nice easy top out... 

  Sit at the base of the nice quartzy line and climb pretty nice holds the whole way to a killer jug at the top...

The first time I got on it was with a friend of mine named Jakob and we were determined to get the first ascent so much that we camped out at the boulder until 2am only to not send it. Almost a year later we went back with my other friend Hannah and she sent it first go. We were all very impressed until we had found out she had sent the problem 3 weeks before and neglected to tell us. 

  Any ways this is a great problem. You sit start on the right side of a small roof on really small crimps. After heal hooking the edge of the boulder you throw out to a block to the left and traverse left on the small roof making sure not to dab your feet! After you have gone out of the roof section head up to the top and celebrate!

This line is a bit contrived but what do you want from me, i love cracks... 

  Sit at a hand crack on the far right side of the left most boulder... Climb this crack to a left angling crack that leads you to the topout of the previous problems... 

  Fun times but not classic...

Sit a few feet to the right of High and Mighty on a couple of hard holds... Pull your ass off the ground (crux) and make a quick move to a good hold... The rest of the route is easier... Angle left to meet the top out of High and Mighty... 

  A fun route but the real fun on this boulder is to the right on a steep face yet to be cleaned and climbed but its gonna be cool...

I discovered this spot in the late winter about a year and a half ago... When i would drive down Hackett Hill Road i could see a line of rocks that ran down a powerline and in to the woods... As spring hit i went out there and found a few nice problems that needed to be dug out of snow and a good bit of dirt and moss on top (hence the name)... Most of the lines are steep and fun and moderate with nice top outs at 8 to 10 feet high... Landings are good but bring a pad... there is a limited amount of rock with maybe 10 to 12 problems possible and only a few hard ones... this spot is perfect for a begining boulderer or a local looking for a quick session... 

  I don't put a whole lot of energy in to bouldering these days so i have only cleaned lines up to about V2... there is potential for a couple of cool powerful problems on steep rock...
