The crux is the overhanging crack at the top, it gets to be a good bit bigger than hands.

Slab climb up the Tusk's west edge. The upper section, while run-out, is only 5.7.

On the north side there is a line of 4 bolts leading up the feldspar crystals to the top. It is fun crystal pinching up the sustained slab. 60 feet / 4 bolts = exciting. This is sustained 5.10 for the first 3 bolts, then it is cruiser after the 4th. The bolts seem to be placed to keep one away from the route to the right (kinda contrived but still fun).

This is a fun way to get on top of a very enticing rock. The climb starts same as

South Side Classic

, 5.8. Clip one ring bolt and rusty old piton (untrustworthy, but the climbing is easy 5.8/9) to gain the massive ledge. Then follow the rightmost set of bolts up right through the business of the route.  Two 11d crux moves come during the next two bolts, then it's a short, easy runout to the top. Sling a chickenhead and equalize with single bolt to belay partner up. Rap off anchors to your right side.

This is a very nice wandering line up the South side. The first pin and crack is about 18' up, so a spotter is advised. Traverse right on the ledge then straight up to the anchors. The protection on the route is fairly spaced out, but it is certaily adequate if you place good pro. This is the easiest route to the top, and could be used to place topropes on the other lines.

Again, there may be new bolts that replaced the old fixed gear, but if not be sure to back up the old pins with good gear. Hopefully they also replaced the old anchor at the top.

Overall a fun short line. Several nice face climbing cruxes with rests. Feels longer and more exposed than it looks from the ground.

Start on the left side of the obvious roof on the southeast corner and climb the shallow crack system and continue to the summit on

South Side Classic

.  The crack is difficult to get started on.  Either approach it from the left on the face or make a running dyno from the ground.

North Prow has face-climbing up the shallow dihedral up and right on somewhat run-out rock.

Ivory Coast is one of the best gear routes in BV!

Right off the road is a big, A-shaped roof with some cracks. Climb either the right or left corner (the left is harder but cleaner) to the roof and a bolt. Squeeze into the OW, and put in some gear at the lip. Do hard stems and jams through the roof to a stance. It is steep hands to the top.
