This is just a TR at present.   It has several stellar arete' moves right on the knife blade using positive holds and cool footwork that make for an  enjoyable piece of climbing.  You can do the arete' part of this route by doing Bacon Strip.

Thin pumpy moves through a small bulge in the yellow rock lead to easier edges and nodules in the gray.  This route is in the shade most of the day. The chains are very easy to access for a TR on this one.  Added lowering carabiners 9-21-21

The first 20 feet are a couple of bulbous, bulbs.... to elegantly mantle or shamefully hog roll onto, it then steepens up and offers good edges and nodules through the crux, easing back to low angle for the final bit to the chains.  It is a bit of a grovel through the scree to set up a TR on this one.

A kooky "all the way through hold" is fun to lean back on at the start of this route, the crux will be the 4 or five moves after it, through some big incuts and weird shaped chert nodules. The middle section is low angle and easy. The top 20 feet are steep, juggy and enjoyable.  Getting to the last bolt might be a little sketchy for the 5.8 leader, as a fall while clipping would land you on the ramp below but the holds are big.

A nice, well protected, moderate climb though edges and huecos.  This route is a bit sharp, as are most of the low angle climbs at the gulch and is a bit hollow.  It has been cleaned well but can seem a bit chossy to those not used to this type of rock.  Lower off anchors now at the top for your convenience.

- To set up a top rope if you don't want to lead it. There is an access anchor at the top of the buttress that will protect you if you want to downclimb (5.4) or repel the 12 feet to get to the top rope anchors if you want to access the chains.  You can easily reach the chains for Enewman as well.

Really fun jug hauling on a nice arete' leads to sharp chert nodule climbing at the top.

One of the best routes at the Gulch.  Really fun stemming through a steep scoop on incut holds leads to giant chert nodules at the end of the crux.  The route looks harder than it really is, unless you get suckered left. The chains are very easy to access for this one to set up a TR. New carabiners on the chains.  Please don't steal them.

Very similar to Air Affair but a titch harder. Sharp and a bit hollow.

This is a 5.8 with one 5.9 rock over move at the first bolt. The rest of the route is enjoyable jugs and chunky edges to the top. Be careful not get get suckered right into the Peeweesophat Cave at the top of the route, it's best to take it straight to the chains.  For the top ropers the crux move can be skipped by starting on the jugs to the left and then traversing back right and joining the route proper before the vertical rock. The chains are easily accessed for a TR on this one.  Added carabiners to the chains 9-21-21

Sharp and awkward climbing over bulbs.  The midsection of the route uses the crack feature.  The climbing is stiff for the grade.

The only reason I put this piece of crap route on here is because it was my first ever trad FA.  I had just bought $1000 worth of gear and hauled it out to the Gulch and of that thousand dollars of fancy shiny shit, I only used one tiny brass wire, behind a chossy flake, that probably wouldn't have held body weight.  I would put an X rating on it but I don't think you could fall off of this route even if you tried because the off width crack sucks you in, rather than spits you out. The route is named after the dead cow bones that were back behind the buttress.

A variation off of Barrel O Fun.  It starts on the first two bolts of Barrel and then veers off left a bit to gain the arete'? I'm not sure if these bolts were meant for the arete' or if the intended route is supposed to go up the face to the right of the arete'?  The clipping stances are awkward when sticking to the arete' and they are a bit run out.   At the top it veers back to the right to access the chains for Barrel.
