This route is a blast, with technical and thoughtful movement throughout the climb. Start on the Tavern Ledge, scramble up easy 5th Class for about 10 feet, and clip a bolt. A funky series of easy moves leads to the next bolt about 15 feet up. This is where the fun begins, get ready to get techy! A few deadpoints and you will find yourself at a long and bizarre series of balancy moves. The fun isn't over until you've pulled onto the large ledge above! This is pretty sustained!

Hasta La Vista, Hamachi

Half Pint

This is a great adventure climb! If you climb this route, please help clean it by ripping out moss and tossing loose rock. It has a chance to be a good route. Be cautious in the Spring or Fall. There may be ice, and the rock will probably be wet, it was originally climbed as a mixed ice/rock route. This is a Northeast-facing wall with slab, ledges, and overhangs.

P1. Start on the right side of the bottom slab near the corner of the Diamond Wall. Scramble up the dirty slab and ledges to the first bolted anchor located near a small tree (5.5 R).

P2. Climb up and slightly to the left through more dirty slabs and ledges, and then cut back to your right towards a bigger tree, girth-hitch the tree for additional protection, and make your way up to the first roof. Below this roof you will find the 2nd bolted anchor (5.6 R).

P3. Follow the obvious corner up to the next big roof. There is lots of good rock but also a fair amount of loose rock and moss (5.9).

Descent: three 70 meter rappels will get you down. Hike up to the right. You will find a big spruce with some cord and blue webbing and a rap ring. This will give you an exciting free hanging rappel back to the first roof with the bolted anchor.

Some blocky climbing through the first 4 bolts leads to a sloping ledge and an undercling. From here, make some fun but difficult moves through a small overhang, and then hold on tight for some techy climbing to the anchors.

This will get cleaner and better with more ascents.

Hasta La Vista, Hamachi is a chill, straightforward route with long pitches on mostly high quality stone (this is still 10 Mile Canyon, folks, test your holds).

Compared to normal sport/gym routes, the bolts are spaced out; however, the climbing is not demanding and rests are plentiful. A 70m rope is highly recommended, if not required, to rappel down.

Wear a helmet, there is high rockfall potential.

From P2 anchors, traverse left 10’ to first bolt. Easy climbing leads to a steep section with the route’s crux,

This is the best pitch on the route. It has fun, sustained moves on bulletproof rock,
